With the constant evolution of online learning environments, there is a need for constant and co-ordinated user training and development. With reference to Abu Dhabi Women’s College’s strategic priorities, a comprehensive training model covering the commonly used tools was developed for both Blackboard Course Designers and Course Instructors. Weekly face to- face sessions were offered which included demonstrations, discussions and hands-on practice. The model, which was based on a needs analysis, was developed, delivered, reviewed and continually enhanced over the course of its delivery. This paper looks at the processes followed in creating a Blackboard Training Program and presents plans for its future development to support the blended learning ambitions of ADWC.
